A LITTLE ABOUT THE PLACE……..
I was a junior member of the Canadian Team at the Culinary Olympics in Frankfurt, Germany, 1976. It certainly was an eye opener but diner food has always been my favourite. We have been serving breakfast, lunch and dinner for the past 30 years at John’s Place Restaurant in Victoria, BC. Canada. We make everything from scratch including our herb bread, corn bread, banana bread, homemade pies, cheesecakes and all our salad dressings. When Food Network Canada was filming in November for our fall shoot we made our Southwestern Meatloaf, Mile High Apple Pie, Belgian Waffles with our own cream cheese syrup and our best seller, Eggs Benedict with an authentic real butter hollandaise sauce and we had a blast doing it.
